The Weekly Web Roundup: January 19, 2019

Having post-Pitti withdrawals?

Have no fear, the IG menswear community is like a constant Pitti.

24/7, 365 days a week.

Every day, there’s something new or a cool combo coming from someone.

Here’s 5 I liked from this week!

What I like:

Not only is this a great colour story with the inclusion of that forest green, but I love Daniel’s use of a work shirt like a cardigan vest. It’s a cool casual twist on layering, and the collar proportion is perfect to have spread over the lapel like that.

Really good stuff.

What I like:

How cool is the colour of this jacket!?

The choice of tie here is great as it picks up on the jacket colour and gives an extra bit of depth.

What I like:

I have a big soft spot for rugby shirts with ties. I love rugbies in general, but ever since seeing some Ralph Lauren and Drake’s shoots utilising rugbies styled with ties it’s been my ideal sartorial casual layering dream. I’m yet to explore it too thoroughly, but I’m looking forward to doing so.

For now I’m just living vicariously through gentlemen like Frederik here.

What I like:

Here’s an interesting one, a polo knit used as a layering piece. It’s a bit dressier of a look compared to say, a rugby; and it’s one I don’t see too often.

I haven’t been a fan of polo knits in the past, but this one has given me pause.

What I like:

Lately I’ve been into the sartorial meets baseball cap looks. I added this one to my lookbook for a future article about them, and inspiration for my own takes on the style. Keep your eyes peeled for that article soon!

That’s all for today!

I always enjoy seeing unique colours, creative approaches, and preppy styles.

Which one was your favourite this week?
