The Weekly Web Roundup: Oct 20, 2019

It is the weekend again; the time has come.

Time for another edition of the Weekly Web Roundup! See five fantastic outfits from the best on the ‘gram. This week features the first ever double appearance by one person… sometimes you just have a really good week!

1: @maslowso

What I like:

The jacket isn’t just cut from a beautiful cloth, it’s brimming with interesting details. The button-flap pockets make for an adventurous casual look, and adding a touch of that to the breast pocket makes it a jacket you can just throw on without having to select a pocket square.

Wise selections accompany the jacket with plain coloured shirt/pants, and a tie with a hint of texture to play off of the thick texture on the jacket. A well combined affair.

2: @nicke.nystrom

What I like:

This is like a contemporary reimagining of the outfit Steve McQueen famously sported in Bullitt (1966). The colours here are more playful and you could easily wear this outfit to any weekend event.

3: @nicke.nystrom (again!)

What I like:

I love a good brown suit, and the black tee is an edgy addition that does well to look not just chic but exude a dash of sleek futurism to boot. I think I’ll pinch this look when I have a brown suit…

4: @nfld.rm55

What I like:

Check jackets are a hit and miss affair for me, but this one is definitely a hit. The colouring is on point, and the pairing of the rest of the outfit works really nicely to let the jacket shine.

It’s a light, fresh outfit that would be perfect for transitional seasons.

5: @charlestyrwhittfan

What I like:

The textures here play very well together. The muted tonal colour palette allows for the eye to really see what’s going on in the interplay between the cable knit and the tweed.

It’s a classic English country style look, which is an aesthetic that always gets a thumbs up from me when it’s well executed.

That’s all for today!

This concludes the roundup of weekly style inspiration for now. Check back next weekend for the next installation, and keep your eyes peeled during the week for some fresh new content!
